How many trees do I need to create a natural Evergreen privacy screen?

Answer: Evergreen privacy screens are created with fast growing evergreen trees like Emerald Green Arborvitae -- as seen in the photos on this page. We suggest planting trees 2-3 feet apart, depending on your preferred denseness. A zig-zag pattern will create a thicker screen. It is best to place your trees at least 10 feet away from your home or foundation, and 4-5 ft. away from patios, fences, and other structures. If you are planting underneath a utility line consider selecting a tree that will not exceed 25 ft. tall.
